Participating In a Drum Circle:

Promotes Wellness

Promotes Socialization

Five people playing drums together under a pavilion in a park.

Drumming is good for your physical wellness by using your arms to make music.  You will also use other muscles to play other instruments such as shakers, cowbells and tambourines.

Drumming is also good for your mental wellness as a mindfulness activity.  You are "In The Moment".  There are no distractions so you can totally focus on having fun.

Everyone participating is there to experience the joys of Community Drumming. Drum Circles bring people from all different backgrounds together to share in the spirit of rhythm.  No experience is necessary and all participants contribute to the sound of the group.

Promotes Neuroplasticity

Neuroplasticity refers to the brain's ability to change and adapt its structure and function in response to various experiences, stimuli, and challenges. This process involves the formation of new neural connections, strengthening or weakening existing ones, and reorganizing brain circuits. Neuroplasticity is essential for learning, memory, adaptation, and recovery from brain injuries.
